Do you know your priorities? Have you ever stopped to think about what are your three priorities in your life currently? I've heard people say before that their family is priority. Great, that's noble to say and then we look at their agenda. We look at their schedule, and they don't have any time for their family. You may say my priority is my health. I need to be healthy. Okay, great, now look in your agenda. Where do you have those activities, hobbies, or daily exercise routines in your schedule? We may not even be conscious of our actual priorities. Concretely, if we don't choose our priorities, we won't schedule it in, and it may not happen. I'd love to say my goal is to live a peaceful life, but I have to look at my agenda and my day to day. Did I meditate? Did I sit in nature? Did I sit with animals? Did I admire some bugs? If I want to connect and live a slower life, do I notice things around me or am I super busy, running in this hamster wheel? As a family, do you want to spend more time with your family? How often do we reach out and ask our friends how they're doing? I think it's important to put effort to maintain these relationships. They don't just happen. What about maintaining and or finding that deep romantic relationship and partnership. Is love important for you? If you have a partner that you adore and love, do they know that you prioritize them? Do you prioritize their needs? If your relationship is important, you need to allocate time in your schedule to support them, and maybe their endeavours personally or professionally. Take time to communicate. Take time every week to authentically communicate with your partner to share some vulnerabilities, resentments, frustrations, or things you would like to work on instead of them escalating to be so big. This takes time. This takes effort. This takes maybe 30 minutes a week, or do you just watch TV together and disconnect instead of taking that time to reconnect? What about travel? If this is a priority for you, but you're not taking step for your next trip, time will pass, and you may not discover the world. Another one is self care. Some people are burnt out, and tired. They need to work on self care. Where do you put yourself in in your own schedule? The entrepreneurs I work with are very good at business. They're very good at building their companies, therefore I usually have to work with them on self care. Okay, great. You're successful. You are your schedule is full awesome. But where are you in your schedule? And people don't even have themselves in the schedule. When I first started my company, I needed a place to release my anxiety and stress. Every Thursday night I would go dancing salsa and bachata. It was two hours a week where I could just be in the moment, have fun, enjoy myself and be with friends. Things happened in the last two years where we weren't allowed to go dance per se, so I've since shifted my lifestyle to be a lot quieter and more laid back. Before, even if I was exhausted, dancing was a non-negotiable and it was in my agenda. I honoured that commitment with myself because I knew that I would have to wait another week before I get to have that experience again. Education. I'm super big on education. I started my own company based on education, since I think there's nothing more important than being able to communicate with other humans. I highly value learning from other people, reading, being coached, and discovering something new every day. Spirituality? Is that a priority? Morning rituals, walking in nature, meditation, there's many avenues to spirituality and if that's your priority, where's is it in your schedule? Health. We could have all the dreams, goals, and projects in the world, but if we are not physically at our optimal state, then we will not be able to reach them. We may tire out, burn out or become sick. We may develop a disease which will take us into a different path of trying to heal instead of working on our purpose and serving others. There are so many aspects of life that are important but think about three that you want to prioritize. Be precise. In the summer, my priorities changed to be in health, fitness and being outside. In the winter, my priorities maybe relationship, work, and spirituality. You can shift your priorities but be conscious of them and put them in your schedule. This goes back to time management. I used to be frazzled and all over the place with my to do list and then when I finally plugged these things that were important for me into my agenda. All this weight was lifted off my shoulders and I just didn't have this anxiety anymore because I knew everything would be covered. I knew that I was going to be able to honour my commitments, my priorities, and my company objectives. I became so much more efficient. I was having record months and feeling so healthy. I had so much energy and I was feeling proud of myself. If any of my journey can help you on yours, that is my ultimate goal. To help you grow your company but really in a holistic way. In an intuitive way to manifest the dream lifestyle that you deserve.

Is your heart and head in alignment? What does that mean? I'm asking you if you feel really congruent with what you say what you do what you want. You know, do you say you want something but deep down inside you feel like no, that's not really what I want. That's what society wants for me. That's what my boss wants. That's what my parents wants. That's what I think I want. But I believe we have all the answers inside of us. I do a lot of you know, workshops and coaching and, and courses on intuition. How can we connect to what our intuition really wants for us? I love quotes I've heard before, our intuition is our best friend. Our intuition is our best friend. It wants the best for us. It's your best friend you and then. So I hope just that quote will help you to have confidence. Have confidence that when you feel intuition in different ways everyone receives in intuition differently. There's not one single way. But through these courses I teach you learn how you feel the intuition. We all receive a different how you feel it and to learn to trust and take that inspired action in your life to really live a life that is congruent in alignment to your values, to your dreams, to your gifts. We all have these natural gifts. There are some people who can come to earth and they're amazing healers and they are doctors and surgeons and for me, that's all my gift. If I see blood I want to faint to high anus in an emergency. I'm in shock I scream they have to take care of me I can't I can't take care of other people in these emergency situations. So my gift is not to be a doctor at the in the emergency room and er that is not how I can help humanity. But there's maybe other ways there. I like writing and, and teaching. I love teaching in that I'm so curious and I love learning about others and and trying to help others in different ways. And so we have to also acknowledge our gifts, our natural gifts. That's a huge, I think a telltale sign of our purpose. What we are meant to do. If it's something is so easy for us, and effortless but it can help another person I think that's a huge sign to continue down that path. These are all really deep questions that I feel we rarely ask ourselves. So that's why this channel is is just a nice kind of these. These reminders, asking yourselves questions that that I think are essential for growth and for where we want to take our lives. Intuition has served me so well. And it took years to respect and honor and trust. But it only has given me amazing benefits. When I when I sometimes I'm in my head just this morning there was just infinite choices of when you're traveling. It's almost overwhelming. Where do I go? People want reservations you need to book hotels, you need to book reservations, and it all becomes almost overwhelming and I was very stuck in my head. I was like I can't give an answer right now. I need to stop. Eat some food. Just regroup and I know the answers will come to me. After lunch I went back and everything just doo doo doo doo was very clear and very easy. And it was just a silent Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes. And for me, you know that I feel very connected and aligned when I make decisions like that. I make these kinds of decisions in all aspects of my company. I write an entire book about this intuitive business connections, how essential it is to use our to honor intuition in business. We have all the answers we need to find our ideal client to, you know, double our company to find the best employees and to become the best leader. I never went to business school. It was all intuitive and I'm really proud of the books I read the knowledge and I always want to attain, intuitively how I run my company was just very slow and gentle. But my goal was not to have this multi million dollar company. My goal and my goal still is to create a job where I can live the lifestyle of my dreams. If that's to go on vacation when I want taken the afternoon. on a Monday off, go for lunch with a friend any time of the week. That's what I value is the visions of freedom that I have some female entrepreneur that's why I love working with entrepreneurs. I am a huge advocate for entrepreneurship. I believe entrepreneurship is really a nice way to be able to create your life entrepreneurship is infused with all aspects of your life. It's hard. It's not a nine to five where your brain switches off it is a lifestyle. Talk about that often. So how to have balance, how to have balance in your life as you're starting a company as you're growing a company as you're even exiting. Your company, if you decide to sell your company, how do you create this work life balance this fulfillment in all spheres of your life, not just career or life is it all aspects of one is if one is you know lacking that will affect many other areas of our life. For example health. If we don't Valley and when I first started my company I did not value health. Probably for like most of my job career in my company. It was more business. My goal was you know, you know, career goals and I didn't have that many health goals and then I realized if I want the vitality and the energy and feeling good in mind, body and soul I need to work on mind, body and soul and I need to prioritize that and work on wellness and work on the health in order for my company to grow. If I'm so exhausted and drained. I have no interest in growing my company if I'm so overwhelmed with stressed with with stress or if I'm not taking time daily to meditate and have a yoga practice or be in nature, or spend time with family and friends. Then I will resent my company. Some days it makes me reminds me you know some days I would be frustrated? Well, there's ups and downs with entrepreneurship. You know, there's this one book, it's the roller coaster of entrepreneurship. You know, it's a roller coaster. And I was, you know, sometimes resentful and frustrated and you're like working 12 hour days and tired and that's when I go okay, I need to put a golf game in my schedule. I need to book a breakfast I love going for breakfast with with a best friend but during the week when no one's in the restaurant, and when I'm there I go wow. This is why my why am I this is why I'm an entrepreneur. And it brings back that appreciation it brings back the gratitude I have for the lifestyle that I created through entrepreneurship. And it's also important you know, I talk in other videos of inner child your inner child often knows what your wallet of course it knows what you're trying to think back that inner child in you. I remember standing in front of all of my stuffed animals with a whiteboard. And I was teaching them and then I would take papers out of my parents garbage bins, and I would pretend them correcting report wishes in I just wanted to do that. And now as an adult, I'm able to do that and I really feel in alignment with teaching you know, when I first came to the province of Quebec, I was able to teach something that was so easy for me which is English I speak english i That's effortless for me, but there was a huge value in correctly really a lot of people really really valued learning a second language and wanted to learn from me and improve. So I taught that it was very easy for me. And so as I don't think it matters almost what I teach, it's just what's easy what I'm passionate about. I love helping and right now it's really about intuition and to wellness and entrepreneurship and self care connecting to ourselves to be the better, the best, really the best versions of ourselves. And so I want to hear in your comments below. Do you feel aligned Do you feel aligned with your head and heart and what does that look like for you know a loudness or awareness just being aware really helps you to first and know and then be able to take the steps to live more in alignment and really all areas of your life. So please like, share, subscribe to this channel. I look forward to hearing from you and see you next time. What are your core values? I wanted to talk about having values in your business. Do you run your business with integrity, ethically, and with transparency? We all choose the core values that are most important to us, but what are they? Can you define them? Can you give me three in the comment box? Do you note them on your website, so your clients know them? There are so many core values, such as integrity. What does integrity look like? How do you actually define integrity? We all might have different definitions of integrity. What does integrity in business look like? What is integrity with our work? What is integrity with our customers, products, and employees? Honesty. How honest are you in business? How honest are you sharing your goals, sharing where you want your company to go? Are you honest or do you hide or lie about it? Courage is a core value. Do you value courage? What is courage? How do you even define courage to you? Creativity, for artists or musicians I imagine that's a huge value for you. What about in the business side too? There are the visionaries, the entrepreneurs, who are amazing visionaries and who are so creative and who can create many business ideas and new things out of thin air. Compassion. Are you compassionate towards others? Are you compassionate towards the animals and towards ourselves? It may be easy to have compassion for someone else. OK, someone hurt me, I can learn to forgive them, but what if I hurt myself? For me personally, it's lot more difficult to forgive myself if I made an error than someone else. Loyalty. Are your employees loyal to you? There are companies that don't care about turnover. They may not pay them a lot or respect them. If you value loyalty, do you want to keep, cherish, and appreciate the team that you have. Your team who is, helping you grow a company. Loyalty: do you really see that these people are helping you grow your company? Are they loyal to you? How long have they been with you? How do you show this appreciation? I really want you to reflect on this. You've probably heard this too that people do not stay for a paycheck; they stay in a company if they feel appreciated. I share all of the raving reviews my clients give to my teachers. I, myself, would love to know if someone was happy with one of my courses. I personally show appreciation when I pay them. I thank them with a little message, such as, “Thank you so much for the last couple of weeks for your amazing, dedicated work.” It's one or two sentences. It's something so small, but it shows appreciation. It's a moment for me to stop when I send them money because money for me is simply energy, just exchanging energy. It's a moment for me to thank them for being in my life, helping me and being committed. Another core value is kindness. Do you actively live in a state of kindness and how do you manifest that? Do you buy the stranger behind you a coffee? Do you donate time or money anonymously? Do save the fly and let it outside? What does kindness mean to you? I think it's important for you to take a moment. If you're a business owner or an entrepreneur, to really look at what three core values you have for your company, and put them on your website, talk about them, display them. Tell people at networking events and even in your email signature. If you're an employee, what are your personal values at work? What are your personal core values? I would love to read your comments below. I always encourage you to like share, subscribe to this channel if you want to have updates about intuition, business, connection. My goal is to help you know feel more connected and happier and to live more in the flow and the magic of life. One by following your intuition, by living with integrity, living with your core values, and living in peace. I just came back from a three-day retreat in the jungles of Costa Rica. It's such a magical place and the things that happen there in only two weeks really shook me. My belief systems about things, the way I am, the way I act, my habit patterns. One workshop I went to was about finding inner peace. I think we all could use a little bit more inner peace. I'm trying to shift my habit pattern of anxiety because I'm used to working hard and performing and then being in stress mode and anxious of when the next contract will come. Through this workshop, it was a big revelation that back in the day when I first started my company, for the first five years, I had anxiety about, will I actually have enough contracts to pay my bills? I had, I did, but for five years, I was in that stress, and then one day in meditation, I just had this epiphany that if the universe or other people have helped me for five years, why wouldn’t I trust that the universe will continue to take care of me? It was like this huge weight was lifted off and I was able to realize, that I've been in business for five years and those first five years of business are usually really tough. This helped me to have TRUST. At this workshop, I asked, so now where's this anxiety coming from? At the beginning, it was lack of trust, fear of scarcity. I've now created this dream life that I always wanted and I've been able to create a business where I can travel and I work only a few hours a day. My brain is very comfortable with the feeling of anxiety though, and so it has created this attachment to this perfect life. I now need to work on detachment. This doesn’t mean I can’t love my home, my company, my partner, my dog, but I don't need to be attached to any of them. If I lose my house, it's my dream home, but I trust I'll find another dream home. If I let go and sell my company, I know I will have other projects to do. I’m already working on this project now; helping entrepreneurs really connect to their intuition and spirituality in business. Anxiety comes a lot within me when I'm lacking trust, lacking trust in others, especially lacking trust in myself. Can I handle this situation? Can I handle that emergency? I'm not good with physical emergencies, so I lack trust that if someone's injured, then it's on me and I will panic and be unable to manage the situation. Can I trust the universe? So, I work on trust. I work on detachments. I am also working on instilling more childlike wonder and excitement for life. When I was younger, I would just be so excited and now I don't call things exciting anymore. I say I have anxiety about it instead. The feelings butterflies of excitement and anxiety are actually quite similar. I need to learn to rephrase. Tony Robbins always talks about rephrasing. I remember when I woke up tired I would always use the expression, “I feel like I've been hit by a bus.” Yikes, what a profound and powerful sentence when in reality I was just a little bit sleepy. Tony Robbins has taught me to rephrase more. People say words are your magical wand and whatever you say you can manifest. Who are you drawn to? I write an entire chapter on this in my book, Intuitive Business Connections. I give a lot of work-related examples, because if you're at a huge networking event, it can be overwhelming for anyone. It’s important to follow your intuition with who you need to speak to, and who may be looking for you. I've been to networking events where I simply tell the person what I do, and they were looking for that. They want to sign a contract and start the next week. That was easy and doesn't always happen, but it's taught me to start to trust who I'm drawn to, and who's looking for me. Noticing who you are drawn to doesn’t necessarily have to be for business but in everyday life. Especially on my travels, where there's people who have beautiful intentions and maybe there's people who don't have the best of intentions. When I travel, I have to honour my intuition for every situation. Who are you inspired, excited about, drawn to and really want to speak to or be around? Often those people have messages that we need. I'm curious to hear your stories as well. When was the last time that you met someone that you knew you needed to speak to? What ended up happening? We don't always stop and reflect on those moments in our life, but I think they happen more than you may realize. I want to remind you of that knowledge that you have everything you need inside yourself. You have all the wisdom, and guidance once you listen to yourself. You'll have so much more clarity in your life and know what you need to do in order to manifest the life that you really dream of. Often, it's others who could help us manifest our dreams. I took an entrepreneurship innovation course and part of that was networking online globally. The founder often talks about the importance of sharing what you need, because something that is impossible for you to achieve maybe so effortless and simple for someone else. If you don't share your dreams, then other people may not be able to serve and help you, which could be effortless and easy for them. I want to remind you of that and to go up to someone that you don't know but who you feel like speaking to and see what manifests from that. I want to see in your comments below what happened afterwards. When was the last time you spoke your truth? Speaking your truth is the most powerful tool and I talk a lot about this in my book, Intuitive Business Connections. I have a whole chapter on how I once had this radical honesty workshop at my home, where we had to get really raw and real with complete strangers. Talking about our most intimate secrets, anything we're ashamed of and anything that we don't want other people to know. After expressing all of this, I realized how much weight and energy withholding is. It is just so liberating to express myself, and I didn't judge what other’s biggest secrets were. The secret I talked about was just so small (like many of the others), but it was something I thought I shouldn't say out load. That takes so much energy to withhold what you really want to say. I'm curious in your life, are there things that you don't want to admit to others at your workplace, to your family, to yourself? There are so many layers of being a human and sometimes we don't even really realize what we're hiding until we consciously go into a workshop and see. It could be something I am too scared to share with my partner or confess something I've always wanted to do or even a dream of mine. When we don’t name a dream that you've always had, I believe this is dishonesty with ourselves and others. I feel it really limits where we can go and our potential in the world. With some of my friends and with my partner and my family, I first ask permission if can be radically honest with them. Some people don't want that, but with the friends I choose to have in my life, I want to have an authentic relationship with them. It’s confessing when you did this, I felt hurt. Or it could be little things, such as I feel sad that you didn't show up to my gathering. It can be anything, but it's things we often don't say or admit to others. We keep it inside and think it's not a big deal or I don't want to make it a big deal. I don't want to get into a fight, but when you simply honour your own experience, it’s hard for someone else to be mad. It's important to always use “I” statements. I can't take anything personally, even though I tend to be very sensitive if they consciously communicate their needs authentically. It’s almost impossible to be 100% authentic all the time, and you may not have the energy for it on a particular day, which is normal. If we consciously say, “Today I want to be as authentic and use my voice for truth, the truth towards myself, and truth towards others” where could your life be? What would happen if you admitted to the job promotion you want or talk to the person you have a crush on instead of avoiding them. That was absolutely terrifying for me when I was single, that I just chose to stay at home on Saturday nights and read a book instead of sharing my feelings towards them. I was in my 30s before realizing that I needed to be authentic and real if I really want to find a loving relationship. It's about asking, “What can I truly have?” What can we lose by being radically honest with ourselves? We may lose toxic relationships, jobs that that we hate, we may distance ourselves from family members who don't let us live our true authentic expression and creativity and our desires. We'll lose things that don't bring any value to our life. I invite you today to think about some of the things that you've pushed down so far that you don't even realize needs to be spoken. I encourage you make a list make a list of things that you haven't said, and to just freestyle write everything that you want to say to others. I encourage you this week to go and speak one truth, one truth that is important for you with someone on this list. I want to hear your comments and see if the relationship was transformed. Did it bring you closer? Did it dissolve? Was it heart opening? Was it terrifying? I don't know what your experience will be but anytime I've been super honest with myself and with others, it has only ever resulted in beautiful connections and more energy for me. It brings more clarity for the others to know what's happening in my world. I assume a lot that they should know how I'm feeling, but they have no idea unless I voice it. That's my suggestion this week. Please share this video, like it, and let me know how sharing your truth has helped you in your life. Do you trust yourself? Do you trust yourself in your business? Do you trust yourself raising your children? Do you trust yourself in romantic relationships? It's a question that is essential because, for me, I'm learning where and why I have anxiety. I went to a 3-day workshop in Costa Rica on finding inner peace. I had a big realization that my anxiety stems from not trusting myself, not trusting others or deep down not trusting the universe, which surprised me. I talk about in my book, Intuitive Business Connections, the importance of trust, being a trustworthy person and being trusted. Now I want to take it another step deeper towards ourselves. Do you trust your own judgment? There have been entrepreneurs that have tried and failed, and now they no longer trust their intuition. They no longer trust their creative ideas. They no longer trust other people's suggestions or partners who want to collaborate with them because of an error they made in the past. I feel like that's so unfortunate. What could you manifest if you really trusted yourself? I mean, wholeheartedly, when you receive your intuition, you trust it is clear. Then how can you have the stress and anxiety. I am a work in progress as I often talk about my own pitfalls and the times when I didn't follow my intuition. I believe there's no judgement to either, but simply a choice if you want an easier path or do you want a more complicated and difficult path? Do you want peace of mind and ease in your life, or do you want a little bit more drama? It's just a choice and we all, as humans, have free will and choices of what direction we want to go. Sometimes I choose an easy path and sometimes I choose the more complicated. I guess in order to experience and to learn to trust my intuition more. I feel like the more I trust the little things such as contact this person now, do this, try that, my confidence grows for the bigger things. Then when I'm really confronted with a huge life decision, I don't have to be so anxious or scared about it. I know that I can trust myself. I know what is a strong yes for me and what is a strong no for me. In the authentic relating world, there's these games which is called Yes, and No. By practicing in front of another person, saying yes, yes, yes, then no, no, no when they ask you questions. Practicing feeling what it feels like in the body to say “Yes” and “No” and knowing internally what is right for you. I encourage you to sit in silence. Stop in a day, listen to yourself. When you have these intuitive hits, take the inspired action. If you don't take inspired action, you'll never know if that will benefit you in your life. This may help you to be able to trust others and trust the universe. I think there's a huge ripple effect and trust is so essential in all aspects of your life. If I can't trust a friend, then they won't be my friend. If I can't trust my partner, then I won't be in a relationship with him. For me trust is a foundation. I can't trust one of my employees, they won't be an employee for long. I value trust a lot in my company. I invite you to share examples, so the others can learn from you. We're all teachers and can learn from one another. This is simply a question to spark conversation. I'm learning with you and sharing my own personal experiences, but I want to hear from you. Your message could have the power to help someone else to trust themselves more. Thanks again for watching. Please like share, subscribe, write some comments, and I will see you next time. What is your inner child telling you? When was the last time you spoke to your inner child? What do you mean my inner child? It's about sitting and seeing your younger version of yourself, such as a five-year-old version. If that's hard for you even to imagine, find a photo. Find a photograph that brings up some emotion, put it on a chair in front of you and sit and talk to that inner child. There are many ways you can connect to your inner child, but this is one that is easy to say, “I see you”. I see that purity in you, the innocence. It's so touching to see my childlike innocence and as an adult to tell her what she needed to hear at that moment in time. I believe we can really reframe the past. I'm not a psychiatrist, psychologist, or a therapist. I'm not any of that, so I encourage you to go to specialists if you need to work on trauma from the past. I'm just sharing my stories. I'd remember these experiences that hurt me as a young girl. I was able to relive them and reframe them. Our inner self had that purity and, I believe, that knowledge of the direction and our gifts that we came to Earth with. We all have different gifts. I had this epiphany moment one day because I was teaching a group of employees at a hotel. We didn't have an office space, so they put us in a banquet room with a flip chart. I started teaching and I had this flash back of me when I was a little girl pretending to teach my stuffed animals using a board almost the same size. After this flashback, I realized as a little girl this was my dream to teach. I love teaching. It's natural for me to teach. As a little girl, I knew what to do with my life. I went on to being a teenager and I wasn't interested in parties. I wasn't interested in drinking. I wanted to read spiritual books. I wanted to go to First Nations ceremonies. I wanted to travel the world and discover and start new projects. I'm the same person but really connecting to what I wanted to be when I was a little girl. And I encourage you to stop and remember your younger self. That's one of the first things I did when I was teaching English. I would ask my clients, “What was your dream job when you were a little girl or when you were a little boy?” Rarely do people ask them that anymore. They stop and think, and I wait. I want to hear their answers. They share with me they wanted to be this or that and realize they could still do that. We can still do that if we want so if you're feeling lost or if you're looking for a career change, I encourage you to stop and reflect your dreams, goals, talents, interests as a young child. One of your gifts that you must bring to the world to serve others. For example, being a musician can move people to tears, bring joy, bring laughter, and has the power to help and serve others. I invite you to stop, think back, talk to your inner child today. Give that inner child a loving hug. Say you're going to be there for them. Say you're not going to abandon them. Say you're going to listen to them. Your inner child has a lot to say and you may not have listened to them maybe for 20, 30, 40, or 50 years. They have so much innate wisdom and knowledge, but we just push them away. What do they want to tell you? I want to read that in the comments if you want to share this vulnerability. I shared mine of playing teacher as a child. I'd go into my parents’ office and pull out the papers from their garbage and pretend I was correcting all of these exams. I had all my little dolls and stuffed animals in front of me and I would get dressed up as a teacher and I would teach. I don't even know what I taught. That was my dream. As an adult, I was able to manifest this with my company (teaching English to business professionals) for the last 11 years. I'm grateful that I'm living what my inner child wanted me to live. Are you happy? Have you ever asked yourself that question? Really sat down and asked if you are truly happy? I remember 10 years ago I had a partner who, when he met my grandmother, that was the first question he asked. And she will never forget him because she has never been asked that question in all of her life. She still talks about that question. I think it shook her to her core, because she didn't even know how to answer him. Sometimes I think we're afraid to ask others or we're even afraid to ask ourselves because we don't want to know the answer. Before we can make any life changes, we need to first know where are we are at this moment? How do you rate your relationships at this moment, your career, your spirituality, your finances? All of that has an impact. I'm curious and I encourage you to first ask yourself are you happy? Our society I feel is very backwards. We value the GDPs instead of the global human happiness factor in some countries like Bhutan, which is like one of the happiest countries in the world. What if our governments and our societies started to value that people are fulfilled in their country? To ask are they happy? We don't have to wait for any external outside forces to ask us that though. We can ask that to ourselves today! I want to quote Barbara Marx. Hubbard, who is a known visionary. When she asks who is happy, in her experience, the happy ones are actualizing their creative gifts for the service to others. She also says, if you have everything that modern day civilization has to offer, and you're anywhere where that capacity for individual expression exists in its full service, but you do not also have deeper yearning to express uniqueness for the good of the others, then you will be naturally depressive. You will have a natural depression and a sense of malaise. That is a signal that something more wants to be expressed. She talks about how we get attached to our roles, such as stay at home mom, father, busy business executive, sister, or daughter. We get kind of trapped into these roles and we don't know how to get out of them and express our true uniqueness and maybe the gifts that we are really meant to share. We're all drawn to different things. I like music. I wish I could be a musician. I wish I could play an instrument, but I'm just not as gifted as someone else who can create this beautiful music so naturally and that's okay. I may have other gifts and I may be drawn to other things. It's about being clear on our unique gifts and to let that creative expression flourish. If we all lived authentically and honoured that we are more than just these qualities that we have put in this restricted box. How much more fully we could serve others? Something that is so natural and easy for you, that you just don't even think is a gift can touch and help someone so profoundly. I love to go to these weekly chanting group gatherings. And the artists are so magical to me. I remember telling them they need to create a recording because people need to hear this. For them, they just did it as a meditation at home for themselves and their weekly gatherings that were by donation. I wanted them to be able to share these gifts to the world. It is so easy and natural for them. I think those are the times when we need to ask, “What would I do completely for free and never ask money for”, but then to actually create life’s work around that. There's nothing wrong with money. It is just energy, just a transaction of energy. If you can do something for free, but then ask for money as a way reciprocating that gratitude someone has for what you offer. You're then able to live in this creative flow for the rest of your life and you never actually have to work as they say. The world needs your creative expression, and the world needs more people in tuned with their creative expression, in tune with their own gifts. So again, I encourage you to sit and really take a moment to ask yourself if you are happy. Ask your friends or if they're happy and have them ask you in return and see if things bubble up. If there is some blocked energy, lower energy or heavy energy, ask yourself how can I let that go and release that? The more we ask ourselves questions the more things can unravel. That's what a coach does. A coach doesn't do things for you, a coach is there to help you find things that will make get to the next level. Whatever goal you have, the coach is not there to judge you for any of your goals. They're just there to help you find them, to discover them, to help you to be accountable to make the small steps. Often, we don't stop and really ask ourselves the important questions that coaches are trained to ask. Today is the new moon and I always love to celebrate the full moon and the new moon. Not only does it honour the cycles of our month, our year, but also our reality. I really do try to be connected as much as possible to my own cycles. Whether that is sleep cycles, menstrual cycles, the seasons, or the moon. I was working with a client with her first year in business and she was very stressed that some of the months started to decrease in sales. She had these high financial goals and she wanted to maintain that level throughout the year, but I had to remind her that business is cyclical. We have the high season and the low season. For example, in Costa Rica, there's really two seasons, the wet season and the dry season. We need to acknowledge and respect that. When I first started, I felt it took me a couple years to realize the cycle of high season and low season because I had no idea. Nowadays, I have to remind myself to honour that cycle. Last summer, I really wanted to do a big boost in my company. I did a lot of marketing, and I spent the entire summer in business development and marketing, which brought zero ROI (return on investment). It was such a nice reminder for me to know the cycle of my company. I know when to do advertising and when not to and even if I think I can go against that cycle, it still doesn't work. Over the years, I'm learning to honour my own personal cycle where I have a lot of energy some weeks and I feel like I can conquer the world. I can create anything. I feel unstoppable. Then there's other weeks I feel like I can’t accomplish anything. I used to be really hard on myself for that. I'm now learning that's part of the monthly cycle and I really have to honour that. Some people are very sensitive to the moon cycles. Some children especially have a hard time. They're unable to sleep during the full moon. For me, during full moon I really clarify things and get things done. If there's outstanding invoices, I am on it. Whereas other parts of the month it doesn't bother me as much. I love being in sync because it gives me a lot of compassion towards myself and towards others. It helps me to be in the flow. When I was a lot younger and I first started my company, I almost felt like a robot that needed to perform. I needed to accomplish this and that without ever considering all of the different outside forces that really could be affecting me. And it's not a victim role. I realize it’s that full moon again. I used to also have these fears that I can't show emotion and I have to be strong. Now I'm learning to accept myself more, which doesn't mean I need to cry in front of someone, but I can be a little bit gentler with myself. I can take one day to myself or those are the days I might do admin work, accounting, invoices or something more introverted, instead of my power weeks where I want to be in contact with people. There are weeks I want to sell and I want to connect and I want to go to networking events. I try and honour that a bit more to be more in the flow one with myself and also with the universe. I'm super curious if you really respect your own cycles, and also respecting nature’s cycles, and see how that integrates in your work. Or if you've ever actually noticed, weeks where you're really productive, or you're less productive, or if you're really sensitive to the new moon or the full moon. They say the New Moon is a really good time to write down your goals for the next month. What is it that you want to manifest? This is new energy creating, what you really want. Whatever time of the cycle this is in the world, if you're watching this today, I want you to stop and really look at the new moon or look if it's a full moon. There are apps on that and to mark in your calendar those days. On the new moon you can write your specific goals for the next month. Create a ceremony around that and see if you start to feel more connected to nature or if you feel more connected to yourself. Simply to accept yourself more, accept where you are in the cycle of where you are in that month. |
