Is NOW the right time for you to Start Your Own Business?

If Not Now, Then When?I'm purposely recording this video with imperfect lighting—half in the light, half in the darkness.
Right now, I feel called to share some of the lessons I've learned after being an entrepreneur for more than a decade. But sometimes, I hold myself back. I tell myself the lighting isn't perfect, or I come up with countless excuses because showing up feels uncomfortable. It takes effort to get dressed, step out of my comfortable clothes, and record a video.
It's so easy to tell myself the conditions aren't ideal.
But when are the conditions ever truly perfect?
The point isn't to create the perfect video. The point is to share knowledge, connect with you, and hopefully inspire someone to become an entrepreneur.
I don't need to focus so much on everything happening around me—the dog barking, background noises, or whether everything looks just right. None of that really matters.
If we simply show up with good intentions, with a genuine desire to help others and to serve, while trusting our inner knowing and the message we're meant to share, that's what truly matters.
So here I am.
But now... what am I supposed to say?
Sometimes, I honestly don't know.
I simply allow myself to speak. I trust that the words I need to say will come in the moment. Today, I found it amusing how the message arrived.
If not now, then when?
I spoke with a coach this morning, and that's one of her taglines. I thought it was brilliant.
If not now, then when?
I want to remind you that if you've been thinking about becoming an entrepreneur, joining a coaching program, taking a course, or investing in your own growth, we often become our own biggest obstacle.
I understand because I talk myself out of things almost every day.
The key is learning to listen.
We don't always need a dramatic wake-up call or a major life event to force us into change. Sometimes all we need is to slow down and create space.
That's one of the reasons I love meditation.
Meditation creates space. It allows thoughts to come and go while giving us the opportunity to hear the quiet whispers beneath all the noise.
That's what intuition feels like to me—gentle whispers.
In my courses, we explore the many ways intuition speaks to us because every person experiences it differently. Some people feel it physically. Others simply know. Some hear it, while others see signs.
But if you're constantly busy, rushing from one thing to the next, how can you possibly notice those subtle messages?
It's important to create space for yourself.
Give yourself permission to feel what needs to be felt.
I often talk about the importance of taking inspired action once you've received the message.
What if you truly listened to your intuition?
Where might your life take you?
Perhaps somewhere even more beautiful than your logical mind could ever imagine.
When we slow down enough to listen to our subconscious and trust that the universe is gently guiding us toward what our soul truly wants, I believe incredible things begin to happen.
That's what I hope to inspire—especially in entrepreneurs.
To create silence.
To create clarity.
To create the magical life you deserve.
When I started my company over ten years ago, I never could have imagined where life would lead me.
Not even close.
The truth is, none of us can predict the future.
The pandemic reminded all of us just how impossible it is to forecast everything that life will bring.
That's why I believe in taking small, inspired steps.
You never know where one decision, one conversation, or one opportunity might lead.
The important thing is to be prepared so that when opportunity arrives, you're ready to say yes.
I invite you to create space for yourself.
Spend time listening.
Notice the sensations in your body.
So often we live almost entirely in our minds because society tends to value intellectual thinking above everything else.
But there are many forms of intelligence.
For me, intuition is one of the greatest.
Through intuition, I often receive answers much more quickly than I do through overthinking.
I truly believe many of the answers we're searching for already exist within us.
We simply need to create enough space for them to emerge.
I'm especially drawn to working with entrepreneurs who value both personal and spiritual growth.
People who want to intentionally create a life they love—whatever that dream looks like for them.
Because every dream is different.
We're all called toward different paths.
The challenge is that we're often so busy chasing goals that we never stop to ask ourselves what we actually want.
Last year, I worked with a coach who helped me tremendously.
Whenever I shared one of my goals, he would simply ask,
"What do you really want from that?"
That question changed everything.
It forced me to look deeper.
Did I actually want that goal?
Or was it simply a goal I believed I was supposed to want?
It helped me clarify the kind of lifestyle I truly wanted to create.
Our goals should be in harmony with the life we want to live.
Sometimes they aren't.
For example, I once believed I wanted a certain number of clients.
But after reflecting, I realized that wasn't actually true.
I prefer working with a smaller number of wonderful clients who energize and inspire me.
I don't want to feel overwhelmed or constantly stressed.
I can create the same fulfilling lifestyle while serving fewer people more deeply.
That realization was incredibly freeing.
It reminded me that some goals belong to society—not to us.
One of the beautiful things about being human is that we're all different.
We each have unique passions, gifts, and dreams.
I believe we came into this world with those gifts for a reason.
They're meant to be shared.
For me, I know with absolute certainty that I was never meant to become a doctor.
If I see blood, I want to faint. I'd probably be more distressed than the patient!
But put me around an animal in need, especially when I was volunteering, and my heart opens completely.
Helping in that way feels deeply aligned.
Someone else may be allergic to animals or have no interest in that kind of work.
That's the beauty of life.
We're all called to different forms of service.
So once again, I invite you to slow down.
Even if it's only 30 minutes each day, give yourself that gift.
Reconnect with yourself.
Listen.
Notice what arises.
You may be surprised by the clarity that begins to unfold.
