Is Your Heart and Head in Alignment? Is your heart and head in alignment? What does that mean? I'm asking whether you feel truly congruent with what you say, what you do, and what you want. Do you say you want something, but deep down you know that's not really what you want? Maybe it's what society wants for you. Maybe it's what your boss wants. Maybe it's what your parents want. Or maybe it's simply what you think you should want. I believe we all have the answers inside of us. I teach workshops, coaching programs, and courses on intuition because I believe learning to connect with our intuition is one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves. I love a quote I've heard many times: "Our intuition is our best friend. It wants the very best for us." I hope that quote alone gives you confidence. Have confidence that your intuition is guiding you. We all experience intuition differently—there isn't just one right way. Through my courses, I help people discover how they receive intuitive guidance and how to trust it enough to take inspired action. When we do that, we begin to live a life that is truly aligned with our values, dreams, and natural gifts. We all have unique gifts. Some people come into this world as incredible healers. They're amazing doctors and surgeons. For me, that's definitely not my gift! If I see blood, I want to faint. In an emergency, I'm the one in shock—they'd have to take care of me before I could help anyone else. So my purpose isn't to work in an emergency room. That isn't how I'm meant to serve humanity. Instead, I love writing. I love teaching. I'm endlessly curious, and I love learning about people and helping them in meaningful ways. That's why it's so important to acknowledge our natural gifts. I think they're one of the biggest clues to our purpose. If something comes easily and effortlessly to you, yet creates real value for someone else, I believe that's a powerful sign that you're on the right path. These are deep questions, yet I don't think we ask ourselves often enough. That's one reason I created this channel—to offer gentle reminders and ask the kinds of questions that encourage growth and help us create lives that feel meaningful. Intuition has served me incredibly well. It took years to learn to respect it, trust it, and honor it, but it has brought amazing benefits into my life. Even this morning, I caught myself stuck in my head. When you're traveling, there can be an overwhelming number of choices. Where should I go? Which hotel should I book? Do I need reservations? I felt completely overwhelmed. Finally, I told myself, "I can't make this decision right now. I need to stop, eat something, regroup, and trust that the answers will come." After lunch, I came back to everything, and suddenly it was crystal clear. It was simply: yes... yes... yes... yes. That's how intuition often feels to me—quiet, calm, and certain. I make decisions this way in every aspect of my business. I even wrote an entire book about intuitive business because I believe intuition is essential in entrepreneurship. It can help us find our ideal clients, grow our companies, hire the right people, and become better leaders. I never went to business school. Everything I've built has been guided by intuition, along with a commitment to continuous learning through books, experience, and curiosity. I've always run my company in a slow, intentional, and gentle way. My goal was never to build a multi-million-dollar business. My goal—and it still is—is to create a business that supports the lifestyle of my dreams. I want the freedom to travel when I choose, take a Monday afternoon off, enjoy lunch with a friend during the week, or spend time doing what matters most to me. That's what I value: freedom. That's also why I love working with entrepreneurs. I'm a huge advocate for entrepreneurship because I believe it gives us the opportunity to intentionally design our lives. Entrepreneurship isn't just a career—it's a lifestyle. It's woven into every part of who we are. Because of that, balance becomes incredibly important. Whether you're starting a company, growing one, or preparing to sell it, we all need to ask ourselves: How do we create work-life balance? How do we experience fulfillment in every area of our lives? Our careers aren't separate from the rest of our lives. Everything is connected. If one area is neglected, it affects the others. Take health, for example. When I first started my business, health wasn't a priority. For many years, my focus was almost entirely on career goals. Eventually, I realized something important. If I wanted energy, vitality, and well-being—mind, body, and soul—I had to make wellness a priority. Ironically, taking better care of myself helped my business grow. If I'm exhausted, overwhelmed, or constantly stressed, I have no desire to grow my company. If I don't make time each day to meditate, practice yoga, spend time in nature, or connect with family and friends, I eventually begin to resent my business. Entrepreneurship has highs and lows. It's often described as a roller coaster—and that's exactly what it feels like. There have been times when I was working 12-hour days and feeling frustrated or burned out. Whenever that happens, I know it's time to reconnect with why I became an entrepreneur in the first place. Maybe that means booking a round of golf. Maybe it's meeting a close friend for breakfast on a quiet weekday morning when the restaurants are nearly empty. In those moments, I remember. "This is why I chose entrepreneurship." The gratitude returns, and I appreciate the freedom I've worked so hard to create. I also believe our inner child gives us important clues about our purpose. Think back to what you loved doing as a child. I remember standing in front of my stuffed animals with a whiteboard, pretending to teach a classroom. I'd even pull papers out of my parents' recycling bin so I could pretend I was grading assignments. I loved teaching. Now, as an adult, I get to do exactly that. When I first moved to Quebec, I taught English because it came naturally to me. Speaking English was effortless, but it created tremendous value for people who wanted to learn a second language. That experience taught me something important. It almost doesn't matter what I teach. What matters is that I'm teaching something I'm passionate about—something that comes naturally and allows me to help others. Today, that looks like teaching intuition, wellness, entrepreneurship, and self-care. It's all about helping people reconnect with themselves so they can become the best versions of who they truly are. I'd love to hear from you. Do you feel aligned? Do your head and your heart agree? What does alignment look like in your life? Awareness is always the first step. Once we become aware of where we're out of alignment, we can begin taking small, intentional steps toward living more authentically in every area of our lives.
